Eating Disorders Awareness Week

Eating Disorders Awareness week is an international awareness event that took will take place between the 27th February to the 5th of March in Northern Ireland.

Its aim is to create clarity around the myths and misunderstandings that surrounds anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder and OSFED (Other specified feeding or eating disorder).

On average 149 weeks pass before someone experiencing eating disorders symptoms seek help- which accumulates to almost three years! According to Beateatingdisorders.org 1.25 million people in the UK are living with an eating disorder presently.


Eating disorders NI offer a host of great services to people suffering with an eating disorder or effected by someone close to them with eating disorder. This includes group meetings, one to one meetings, 24 support line and a drop in centre.
