Samaritans Talks - Stay Connected

30Mar

Online Session

12pm - 1pm

Every seven seconds, Samaritans answer a call for help.

They’re there, day or night, for anyone who’s struggling to cope, who needs someone to listen without judgement or pressure.

Samaritans is not only for the moment of crisis, they’re taking action to prevent the crisis.

They give people ways to cope and the skills to be there for others. And we encourage, promote and celebrate those moments of connection between people that can save lives.

Ken, a Samaritans volunteer, has agreed to give a ‘virtual’ talk to help raise awareness about:

  • Who we are and what we do.
  • LISTENING - How we can all be better listeners. Samaritans SHUSH listening tips
  • RESILIENCE - How we can learn to roll with the up and downs of life.
  • CONNECT - You are not on your own. There is always someone you can talk to.

The talk lasts for approximately 45-60 minutes.
