Stop Smoking Awareness Session

23Jun

Online Session

2pm - 3pm

Smoking causes one third of all cancer deaths in Northern Ireland and is our greatest cause of preventable ill-health.

Stopping smoking is the single greatest thing anyone can do to improve their health. After just 1 year of stopping smoking the risk of a heart attack falls to half that of a smoker and after 10 years the risk of lung cancer reduces to half that of a smoker.

This session will give information on the dangers of smoking, will help smokers understand their smoking habit and detail the support available to help them stop through the PHA funded Stop Smoking Support Service run by Cancer Focus NI’s specialist team.

You are 4 times more likely to stop with specialist support, so why not give it a go this summer?
