Purpose of the session
Action for Children is a UK-wide children’s charity. The aim of this session is to raise awareness of what services Action for Children offers across Northern Ireland to support young people and their families. In particular, the session will provide an in-depth look at Action for Children’s fostering service. During the session, we will discuss why fostering is important; types of fostering; who can foster; steps of the application process; what matching is; and the support offered to foster carers.
Format of the session
The session will be delivered via a PowerPoint presentation. It will take approx. 30 minutes. The presentation will then be followed with a Q&A session.
