Held every year by Diabetes UK, raising awareness is one of the most important aspects of providing a support system for those who are living with diabetes.

Diabetes is a chronic (long-lasting) health condition that affects how your body turns food into energy. Most of the food you eat is broken down into sugar (also called glucose) and released into your bloodstream. When your blood sugar goes up, it signals your pancreas to release insulin.

They encourage everyone to follow and their own and others stories whether that’s through art, music, poetry, creating your own film, or just chatting with a friend. Especially thus year, social media have never been more advanced to getting the word out nationwide.
