Awareness Day
Each year on the 19th of August World Humanitarian Day falls.
World Humanitarian Day is an international day hosted by the United Nations dedicated to recognise all humanitarian workers, as well as those that have lost their lives working for humanitarian causes.
It is a global celebration of people helping people.
Every year, WHD focuses on a theme, bringing together partners from across the humanitarian system to advocate for the survival, wellbeing and dignity of people affected by crises, and for the safety and security of aid workers.
