National Wellness Month

National Wellness Month, observed throughout this August, is dedicated to promoting physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. This month encourages individuals to prioritise self-care, adopt healthy habits, manage stress and focus on achieving a balanced and healthy lifestyle. This occasion originated back in 2018, and it has grown into a widely recognised campaign encouraging people and organisations to place wellbeing at the heart of everyday life.

Wellness is about more than physical health. It includes emotional wellbeing, social connections, work-life balance, mental health, healthy lifestyles and resilience. National Wellness Month reminds us that small, positive changes can have a lasting impact on our overall wellbeing.

Consider incorporating some of the following habits into your routine:

  • Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
  • Take a walk or engage in regular physical activity.
  • Eat balanced and nutritious meals.
  • Practice mindfulness, breathing exercises, or meditation.
  • Take time away from screens.
  • Make time for enjoyable activities and hobbies.
  • Stay connected with supportive people.
  • Seek professional support if you are struggling with your wellbeing.
